I picked up some master kush the other day and there are like 2 very small purple leaves on it but randomly it will turn like 20% purple with a purple tint and then it will dissapear... Am I going crazy or is there something I'm missing here?

Purple can mean that it is good, but it could also just mean that it was exposed to cold temperatures.

the purple color is totally pheno dependant. unless as newradical said, cold temps can cause some purpeling. it doesn't mean it's more potent or anything it's just a cosmetic thing........some say that "purple" strains have a distinct taste but i've never really noticed a difference. for example, my first grow i had all fem'd ice from gypsy. most stayed green but there were a few that went purple.........couldn't tell a difference in high between 'em. all the same strain.....just different pheno's.

Marijuana grows purple in more norther climates. It is actually not an indicator of potency, just like resin amount, however also just like resin amount, it is correlated with amazing dank shit.
