http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3296064/ Don't know if I put this web site up right or not. I did this and got a body fat mass of 18. Sounds low to me. But food is hard to get for me. Peace
So I guess that machine will say Nichole Ritchie is healthy and the olsen twins should be spokes models for health.
I am at 40. I am basically a solid. Let this be a lesson to you guys, eat carrots not Twinkies when you are smoking out
17.9, which means that I'm slightly underweight. Good for me, I'd much much much much much much much much rather be slightly underweight than fat.
I'm at 22, which is low risk, but the thing I wonder is, what about people (such as myself) who work out daily and have solid muscle mass going on? My number is low, but obviously for some, especially men, the weight will be a higher number due to the weight of the muscle. In that case, I doubt a BMI result would be accurate. A body fat ratio would probably be more helpful in determining health risks!
They are not accurate when done in this manner for the exact reasons you state.. I, for example am short in stature (5'2 )and built like a brick shit house (170).. BY any account of these stupid calculators i am in the obese or at risk category.. . However if you look at me in person , I am certainly not obese. (Unless a size 6 in womens clothing is now OBESE...) Nor am i out of shape, I am probably more in shape than most on these forums... The simple fact is the BMI done in this way does not distinguish between body fat and muscle mass ...
20 I dont know how accurate the weight I put in is, that's what I weighted last time I check, in December, but Im pretty sure Im still the same. Maybe a couple of pounds more or less. I never keep a stable weight.
