bonjourno fellow dread heads, I was just wondering, what do you all do for a living? Im an almost qualified electrician
respect electrician ;D I'm a sophomore in college. On the very bumpy road to becoming an electrical engineer, and yep, if you were wondering, I can't tell you why I love numbers either.
I'm a student. And... a day camp counselor. And a piano teacher. And a prospective party belayer at a rock gym. And a radio DJ =)
Telecommunication engineer/technician. My job description now is engineer, but I never finished my BSEE and hold only an associates degree in electronics technology. I have 24 years of on the job experience, have journeyman lineman and technician qualifications as well as have my FCC license.
unschooler, college student, gatekeeper at a summer condo place, farmhand, jewelry/keychain/soap maker, herb/veggies grower/seller, random odd job worker, artist, and writer
I'm a student worker for the computer department at my college. I'm majoring in film and digital media though
I'm a professional backpacker. (well, I suppose there's really no profession in that, as it is more considered a hobby by most.) But really, I'm trying to see as much of the world, meet as many people, and experience as many cultures/thoughts as I can before I kick the bucket. I pick up random jobs mostly for food and shelter (the bare necessities), all we really need in life in exchange for the chance to expand my mind 24/7. On a side note, I suppose I've played my trusty guitar sometimes and without even asking for money have been given it. So in a sense my job is depending on my basic survival skills and the kindness/hospitality of others.
i have worked on tv shows for about 15 years, but im getting burnt out and have started school to get my degree in gemology and become a jeweller. having my dreads has changed my outlook on life.
wow dude! you and I live pretty much the same life! I mean, obviously they are different in their own way but basically the same!:cheers2:
By massive coincidence I am also an almost qualified electrician. Just done my last exam for the 2330 lvl 3, get my results on Saturday. Just got to grab me 2391 / 17th then I'm setting up on me own. I'm shitting bricks over it but I've already got a rewire in the pipelines so it cant be all that bad. A few of my mates are insisting that having dreads is going to seriously hold me back, but I was thinking of positioning myself more as "electrician to the middle classes" because at the end of the day there is always going to be a man with a van who thinks he can spur in an extra socket for 50 quid.
