Im doing a grow where im starting nine auto ak47 plants. I want them to get big and fat. I am planning to grow them in my buddies walk in closet, (he's gone for the summer), and was just wondering if anybody could help me out with a dilemma. Im wondering what would be the best way to do it. I have florescents with about 300 combined wattage, and also a 1000 watt hps light. We also have a grow cabinet in there too. So i have a couple different options:

    1. I could grow them in the closet in the cabinet under the florescents for two weeks, then when the two weeks are up, i could take them out of the cabinet and leave them in the closet with the hps light and florescents.

    OR

    2. I could grow them just in the closet without the cabinet and could use the hps on them for the first two weeks plus the florescents.

So basically what im asking....would it be better to grow them in the cabinet for two weeks first just under the florescents? Or would it be better to grow them in the closet with the florescents and hps light hanging down.

If anybody could help me out i'd appreciate it.

IMO it would be best to just use the fluro's for the veg time. The HPS my make the plants stretch then when you flower, you may outgrow your lights. So, use fluro for the veg then swithch over to the HPS when you go to 12/12 for flowering

I wouldn't put a 1000w over top seedlings, good chance they'll burn or dry up fast. Go with the floros for 2 weeks, then add the 1000w HPS and rock it all the way to flower.
