Any Aspies on HIP forums? For those of you who don't know what Asperger's is, try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asperger_syndrome

I'm an Aspie on the more high-functioning spectrum, and currently in a relationship; I gotta tell ya, it's extremely difficult for me, but I am trying as hard as I can to pull it off. Luckily, my guy is understanding and patient, but it can still be nerve-wracking for me. The eye contact thing is a big hurdle, but surprisingly sex was not difficult at all. And his parents are extremely warm and inviting, as well as professionals who toke up :D

Any Aspies on here at all dealing with relaionships? Do you have difficulty or an understanding? Is your partner as Aspie as well, or a NT?

I'm very lucky here. I'm aspie(high functioning) and so is my dh. We work really well together. That said, I haven't had huge issues in relationships with men. I had greater issues in my teens in finding friends at school. I didn't even know I had Aspergers back then. I have more issues in large groups of people so intimate relationships are fine.
