what angle does my MH light hang at?

hey guys, i recently bought 1000w MH ballast with bulb, used. it doesnt say on it anywhere what position the bulb needs to hang at. is there any other ways i could tell by looking at it? would it be realy bad if i hung it the wrong way? thanks.

 

You mite be able to read the manufacturer on the bulb. If you can find the manufacturer on it and some other numbers you mite be able to find out wich way its suposed to hang by either calling the manufacturer of a suplier. If ya dont wanna do this, just hang it horizontaly, it most likley "universal" wich can go either way vertical or horizontal. If it aint universal its most likley horizontal, so without knowing, the safest thing to do is hang it horizontaly. Fyewer bulbs are made to hang verticaly than horizontaly or universaly. So just goin by odds, hangin it horizontaly is the best option. Im not too shure what happens if you hang it the wrong way.
