is there a soda (or some sort of carbonated beverage) that tastes very much like lemonade? or should i just use some sparkling water next time i make lemonade?
The only one I can think of is Wegman's lemonade soda, but they're local, so you probably won't find it outside of the NY-NJ-PA-VA area. Oh, and I just remembered, Jones also has a berry lemonade soda.
Goddammit Carrie! As I sit here with the worlds worst cottonmouth, you go and mention, not only lemonade, but carbonated lemonade.. I dont even have beer.. Rawr..
When I asked for lemonade in Paris it was carbonated...I don't know if it's like that everywhere in Europe?
Santa Cruz has this Sparkling Lemonade which has 23 grams of sugar in one serving... if I made it myself I'd use 2 cups water, 1 1/2 cups lemon juice, and 1 cup of sugar and mix that with a bottle of soda water.... obviously I should just make the stuff myself....
that stuff gives me a headache... I can drink about one and be done... it is really good if you stick it in the freezer and let it get all slushy.... but yeah... I was looking for something non-alcoholic....
^yep, san pellegrino makes a sparkling lemonade. i WILL say its rather sour and not too sweet, if that makes a difference to you, but it is very good. it nice with a little gin in it there are a few other brands of sparkling lemonade i've seen at a store called world market. i dont know if its a big chain or anything, but there are several in the central ohio area. it might be just a local chain for all i know, though. they also carry fine beers, wines, chocolates, all sorts of nonperishable international foods, coffees, teas, syrups, furniture, posters, cookware, all sorts of cool stuff but yeah, making your own lemonade with sparkling water would work well, too. also probably cheaper (the S.P. lemonade is expensive, but san pellegrino water itself is not as pricey) another brand you may want to check out is IZZE. they make a bunch of different sparkling fruit juice beverages. 70% real juice, 30% sparkling water, all natural and counts as 2 servings of fruit on the food pyramid thingy. instead of sweetening with refined sugar, they sweeten with apple or white grape juice usually. i dont know that they make lemonade flavored izzes, but i'd be surprised if they didnt. my favorite is grapefruit....they also make blueberry, pomegranate, clementine, pear, and a bunch of others. if you do want an alcoholic version of sparkling lemonade (while avoiding mikes) you could easily mix limoncello with sparkling/mineral water
here you go, i'm almost positive these are what i've seen at world market: http://www.amazon.com/Pack-Efferve-Sparkling-Yellow-Lemonade/dp/B00016UZS0/ref=pd_sbs_gro_1 http://www.amazon.com/Pack-Efferve-Sparkling-French-Lemonade/dp/B00016UZSA/ref=pd_sbs_gro_5 http://www.amazon.com/Pack-Efferve-Sparkling-Pink-lemonade/dp/B00016UZQW/ref=pd_sbs_gro_2 amazon is out of stock of bottles, but cans are probably cheaper to ship anyhow if you choose to buy online if you cant find or make it where you live: http://www.amazon.com/San-Pellegrin...r_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=grocery&qid=1221320839&sr=1-3
Good call on World Market. You should be able to find a few brands of sparkling lemonade there Trader Joe's may be another good place to check. I believe world markets are national as I've seen them in Seattle and here in Pennslyvania.
ah, very good then! (and john, i've always seen st rogue red at world market. if theres one near you and you haven't looked there, maybe give it a try!)
oh, of course! and i really do think limoncello with sparkling water would be positively magnificent, if you want more of a kick!
