Hey, just wanted to say thanks for all the advice against wax. I came by this forum just trying to figure out what to do and thankfully was saved from wax haha. Well, I first washed my hair with Dr.Bronners about a month ago, and this is where I'm at. I can't really tell if anything is happening. I'll try and get better pictures up later.
I think it is hard to ask what is typical for one month old dreads. The type of hair a person has and how they treat it are such incredible variables that I don't think one can gauge it. The whole point of natural dreads is that there is close to zero control. Lol, if natural dreads were sold in a package, they'd come with a "results may vary" disclaimer
Yeah, I understand that. I guess what I was trying to ask was if it looked like I have been doing everything right, haha.
the beautiful thing about dreads, is that unless you comb your hair, or slather conditioner all over it, you really can't screw it up. You hair looks alot like mine, and that's probably about what mine looked like after a month. Is it starting to tangle at all? If so, you're on the right track, if not, try spraying some salt water on it and rubbing with a towel. you'll have gnarly dreadies before you know it dude :cheers2:
yeah man, all you need to do is keep it clean and let nature take it's course. it is still fairly short so it may take a little while, but keep at it, curly hair is great for dreads. keep it up!
I'm at about a month a bit more now and my hair looks a lot like that so no worry man your doing good, might be a good idea if I post pics but anyway eh About same hair lenght too btw
