Anyone going to or have been to 10KLF in Minnesota? It's about 30 miles from my home, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to afford it this year or not....the price just keeps going up and up every year.

I went last year and it was my favorite festival! The people are amazing. The site is gorgeous, and I am making the 14 hour trek there again in a couple weeks!!! I just got back from Rothbury festival, which is 50 minutes from my home and I am looking forward to 10,000 Lakes being an even better time! I highly recommend you make it out there. The lineup is killer this year (as always) even though there are lesser known bands going to be there. You should definitely check out Wookiefoot and Family Groove Company. You guys have some great bands in Minnesota.

So this is the 3rd year I was suppose to go. I'm trying real hard to get out of work, but I don't want to buy tickets till I'm down there. Is this a terrible idea? A friend of a friend said last year he went down last year w/o a ticket, and he ended up spending $200 plus for his tix. Anyways, I've been to many a festivals/concerts and I've always seen scalpers, always. I figure, this wont be any different. Is my way of thinking crooked? I mean, I'm under the impression they even sell tickets at the gate, so I'm not sure why he ended spending that much on a ticket, unless they totally jack up the prices. Should I at least buy a car pass? My friend wants to buy the tickets now, but I say wait. What do you say?

i say get them now.. though you can only pick them up at Will Call now.. and i think they only go as high as 180.. but 2 years ago.. one guy in our caravan was in need of a ticket and some kynd folk ended up just giving him one for free
