A "spirit" upon my Grandmothers death...

My grandma died on June 6th of this year. She was in a vegetative state, but semi-alert. My mother seemed to be able to communicate with her well. My mother, my aunt and I were all there with her while she passed. I think we all felt something around us that we didn't realize until we talked about it later.

My mom seemed really nervous and fidgety about 30 minutes before she actually passed. My mom told me to look at the clock to see what time it was. It was 6:29am. I looked back at my grandma, and she was taking her last breath.

When it was all over, we got to talking. My mother told us she saw something, but she was unsure about talking about it. She decided to tell us, and I was floored.

She said that 30 minutes before her mom passed, she saw an angel at the head of the bed she was on. She said it was wearing gold chest armor and had purple garments on underneath. His face was serious, stern and unmoving the whole time. She said that's how she knew when it was going to happen, and that's how she knew everything was going to be okay.

Grandma was in the hospital about 6 years ago also, when we thought it was the end of her time. My aunts then husband said he walked by the hospital room, and he looked in and saw a gold angel whispering in her ear.

My mother and I have been contemplating religion together prior to this. I'm currently studying eastern religion, and have always been interested in metaphysics. I just don't know where to place this in the scheme of things. I want to understand what happened that day, and what all this means.

Thats an amazing story ... two of your family members seeing this angel. But what's to understand?

Angels are beings of light and love, beings of pure divine love. This one came to show your grandma a kind of love and understanding that perhaps nobody else could... to help her let go without fear. First to bring her to a state of peace with herself and the world she was leaving behind and second to help her take that final step of surrender into the light that she is.
People sometimes don't take love very seriously. Angels take it very seriously and they are indeed a stern, serious bunch

 

cbomb, my guess is that there's not much anyone could tell you here that would completely satisfy you. I'm thinking that at least part of the reason for what happened is to get you to do exactly what you're doing: Try to puzzle it out. It's obvious you're on a conscious spiritual journey, and this experience came to you to get you thinking in a certain direction. It's all about the journey.

Yeah i was including your aunts husband aswell. He's family isn't he? ... or was?

Intersting that he also saw this 'goldness' of the angel.
