Hi, I'm new here. Now that's out of the way, I can ask my question. Well lately I've been looking for a new job, so I'm not smoking. The other day, I had the opportunity to buy some super dank, and I just got my stimulus check (thanks George, now fuck off). So I bought a half ounce. I already gave in and smoked a bowl of it...freakin awesome bud! But now I need to put it away and save it for after I get a new job, and having that sitting around will serve as a nice little motivator. I have no idea how long this will take...it could be 2 weeks or two months. What would be the best way to store my bud? It's a very crstalline bugglegum hybrid, and I woud like to preserve as much of the stickiness as possible. The buds have already shed so many crystals the bag I have it in now looks like it had glazed doughnuts in it.
Somebody else probably has a better idea, but when I used to sell I would keep mine in mason jars to prevent any moisture loss. Worked well for that.
for long term id freeze it. i don't know if thats good for it or not, but buggies don't like the freezer. maybe break it up into smaller amounts, freeze them, and only defrost 1 at a time when you're ready. if you don't know how long it'll be, freeze it. then you dont have to worry about mold and stuff.
If it isn't that wet though and you don't think it will be too long you could put it in a mason jar. Even better though if you put it in a vacuum-sealed jar.
The larger ones I have can hold a 1/2 of very fluffy bud w/ no problem. Time I'm not sure how it would last for 2 months, never had weed for that long. Try and keep it less than a week.
(This assumes the bud has been properly dried and that mold prevention is not an issue.) Canning jars. No freezing. Refrigeration OK. Store airtight canning jars of bud in the same place that you would fine wine. Freezing causes ice crystals. Freezing & thawing = over-drying.
the local dollarama sells jars capable of holding close to an oz (glass with that nice rubber gasket and a clip)
