Me too, but if the voting public awakes can't it change? Can't we all stand up and say out loud the Emperor wears no clothes!

uhh... thats not what socialized medicine is. The government doesnt decide shit, all they do is pay the bills out of your tax money. YOu still get whatever treatments or prescriptions your doctor recommends. You need to maybe read a book.

No, the government also regulates the care you receive and they can determine what treatments they will and will not cover. If I had cancer and didn't want the usual treatment methods of poisoning/radiating my body, the state would not pay for those alternative treatments under a socialized system. Because the state and big pharma work hand in hand, the only treatments provided will by those mandated by the pharmaceutical cartels.

Maybe you should read a book.

    Pardon?

Why wouldn't the state pay for alternative cancer treatments under a socialized system?

I fear a socialized United States medical system, hugely because of the FDA and the manner in which that particular department goes to bed with pharmaceutical company patents on a rotating shift and whores itself out as being there to protect people while loosely putting the state's stamp on dangerous substances.

I mean, I understand the implications a United States health system potentially could have and the higher risk of transferring of powers from private to a more socialized medical could muck up the choices of Americans in favour of publicly funded studies on how to find a pill cure for the onset of Nascar post season depression.

In respect of your accurate and appropriate skepticism for socialized medicine in the USA, I disagree that socialized medicine is a failed and blameworthy system of prevailing corruption.

Because, while there is a push for socialized medicine, there is simultaneously a push to basically all but eliminate alternative treatments under Codex Alimentarius, which is being pushed globally by the unelected bureaucrats of the World Health Organization. Already in Canada they are pushing to make supplements illegal without a doctor's prescription. You will be able to purchase vitamins, but only with a prescription, for a jacked up price and at a reduced potency than is currently available. Anyone who does not abide by this law (if it's enacted) will be subject to a $5,000,000 fine and up to two years in prison.

    http://articles.***********/sites/a...t-to-be-made-illegal-in-canada.aspx?source=nl

This is to eventually include ALL vitamins and supplements, and will be implemented in all member nations signed on to the UN Charter. This also ties in a great deal with the North American Union, which would set international standards for the three countries. So what is now being pushed in Canada will soon be pushed in the US as well.

The Codex Alimentarius was spewed out by the filthy mouth of Conservative Tony Clement, our ass-hat Health Minister appointed by your royal robot, Mr. Stephen Harper. Mr. Clements won a seat in Parliament last federal election by switching electoral ridings to a rural area in Northern Ontario, and won the seat by 21 votes.

Under Ontario Premier Mike Harris he reigned as Transport Minister and jerked the 407 engineers and contractors by selling out a public highway, going into $5.6 million deficit while dumping on my dad and his fellow colleagues, after delivery massive public servant lay-offs and forced the OPSEU workers to go on strike in the middle of highway construction season in 1996 for 5 weeks, while negotiating their contracts.

Tony Clement is a washed up Queens Park politician and Torontonian who didn't win a seat in the first federal election in his old school TTC strike 'hood as former Transport Minister home of Tdot, so he had to be sent to some old Reform-Alliance Party loving rural electoral district to win a seat and be appointed as Health Minister by Harper so he could eat crap and neglect letters of specialists and children living without support and Autism.

Tony Clement can kiss my naked arse. The man's a grinchly tool.

This is what he's saying about the Bill C-51:

if you have insurance you are already paying for the smoker's lung disease, and the fat guy's heart transplant, as well as the profit margin of the company

and if you don't have insurance you're pretty well fucked if you ever need to use the healthcare in the U.S.

The nationalized healthcare crowd will eventually drive alternative medicine practitioners out of business through laws the big pharmacy companies and the AMA will have passed.

Yes the decision between universal health care and our current system is so hard. I mean really who can be expected to decide between $6000 per year for insurance polices or $500 per year in taxes.
