I was raised in a tiny little baptist church in the country. Hellfire, damnation, and fried chicken on sundays. Blue haired old ladies waving hand fans on a hot summer's day.

    Maybe a 100 members.

It was during vacation bible school that I was first kissed by a girl. :)

Haven't been to a church in 30 years, but I'm still occasionally kissed by girls.

Same here brotha. I was catholic all my life... Now ... allthough my spirituality remains very Christo-Centric. I am starting to see the words of my Hero and Champion as something that has been horribly misunderstood. I see myself more into the ONE-NESS of all that "is" philosophy as well.

    Much love all.

I was raised Catholic, and sent to Catholic school at age 5, where the nuns with rulers made quite an impression. Growing up in a mostly Protestant community with parents who were nominal in their religion, I was exposed to a lot of non-Catholic religious views--Calvinism, in particular. The resulting spiritual conflicts caused me a lot of turmoil in my early teens. Then, I had a religious experience( moment of clarity, etc.), that reshaped my thinking and left me a "mere Christian" (in C.S. Lewis' terminology). I take fellowship with the United Methodists and sometimes with an Eastern orthodox church, but I don't identify with a particular denomination.

    forrested mountains and railway snowsheds.

and special hidden secret kinds of like sacred places that no organized belief knows of nor has developed to be, but you can kind of feel the spiritness there in them. usually these are out in the woods somewhere, but occasionally you might find them in ruins and abondond buildings.
