Hey everybody, Before I get started in sharing my grow, I want to say that I am new at growing and this is the first one i've done by myself. I have grown with my friend and brother before and grew some decent lowryder 1 and 2 but this one im expecting a lot more, and im getting no other help. I am a new member to this site and I wanted to show off my babies, and when i say babies, i mean it because they are just sprouting. Right now my grow is looking like this: 9 Auto AK47 Seeds - 5 seeds germinated in paper towel for two days, 4 seeds germinated in paper towel for one day. I got them from Dope-seeds.com and it said to just place them in soil right away but i decided to put them in paper towel for a little bit. They are being grown in a cabinet indoors that is roughly 36" by 28" by 30". 7 of the seeds are in 3.5 liter pots. The other two are in 5 gallon pots. I am using Green Thumb soil, which happens to be a slow release soil...i didnt know it was slow release soil until after i bought it and Manic said its not the best type of soil (the slow release kind) but i think im going to transplant them after two weeks. I also used a seed starter mix, which was spahnum peat, vermiculite, perlite, and lime. The lights I am using are 7 florescent lights with a combined wattage of 280 Watts. I am using these for the veg state then im going to switch to a 1000 Watt HPS light in a couple weeks for flowering. Currently the seeds are sprouting, they are into their third day, sorry no pictures, with most of the husks still attached. Right now 8 of the seeds have sprouted and are looking good. I put water in a 20 oz. bottle and filled it about halfway, mixed in sugar and yeast to make some CO2 and put that in the middle of the plants. I am watering a little bit everyday, spraying here and there, but not going overboard. Im using water thats been sitting in a milk jug for a couple days so its not going right from the tap to my sprouts. Other than that, I will keep posting every little while, and hope I can get some pictures up. I know its not the most interesting thread right now, but in two weeks it will be sweet. By the way, feel free to comment or ask questions. Im sure i'll be asking some myself. I've added another 26 watt light so there will be 8 lights....

Today I gave my nice sprouts a few small waters, one in the morning and then one late at night, they feeled a little dry. Im happy to say that all but one of the nine have lost their husk, and im thinking it will be off by tomorrow. A few look like they are starting to stretch so i have turned the light down towards them more. Anybody know if i can start giving them molasses when i water them? How old should they be? I know im going to start giving them molasses after two or three weeks, right when they start to flower but im just wondering if it will be an extra benefit to give them a little molasses now? I've tried to find the answer but can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.
Now the sprouts are turning into nice little plants with both sets of leaves. Most are a couple inches tall and a few are still in the ground...i wonder if i planted them in too far?
Now the girls are starting to do very nicely (I guess I say girls because Im hoping they will be!) They are all looking pretty good with 3 or four of them starting to be taller than the others. Im good with the results so far. Last couple of watering i have been giving them molasses and they seem to like it a lot. They just seem to explode over night. They've only been in the ground and sprouted for 5 days or so, maybe a week from seed. Im excited as its happening, they are starting to grow....i love this process.

what you do is elevate the shorter plants, to get them closer to the lights. stack some phone books under them or something, and that'll help even the canopy out some btw, good things on the molasses...it's got trace elements and helps feed mychorrizah bacteria (sorry about my spelling, I'm currently fucked on a massive capsicum high) which'll help the roots uptake the gross nutrients (nitrogen, et al) better.
These pics don't do the plants justice, most of them are bigger by now. I added a new bottle of sugar, yeast and water for some new CO2 for them. Also I put them on top of some boxes to make them all a little closer to the lights as well. This watering I did today I gave them a little more molasses than the last...1 tsp per gallon...Can anyone tell me what they think about the plants? I know they are small but do they look healthy? Thanks, i'll add some more pics soon. I've tried to add pictures up and did it before but can't do it now...i'll get some help and they will be up soon.
hey lun...a cheaper solution to 'really' co2 enrich is to mix vinegar and baking soda in a 2 liter, (about half full) and let that enrich the atmosphere like..2x a day. according to jorge cervantes, a cannabis plant can use up to 5X the co2 readily available in the atmosphere. well..might not be 'cheaper', but a greater co2 volume for less material input. gallon of white vinegar is like 1.50 and a big box of baking soda....and it'll last you a while.
