Hey Guys! I have been thinking a lot lately about Drug Use and my feelings towards it...I smoked pot almost daily in my late Middle/Early High school Years and got into a Great college/Never stole money from my Grandma or anything Hahaa..(And have been completely straight for the last couple years) So I mean Obviously I don't believe 90% of the propaganda about Marijuana/And Most drugs...

But lately I'm starting to observe (and I want your HONEST opinion on this) Is there Two worlds to drug use??

This may get a little controversial and piss some people off...But how many of you users are (Like I was)

    A Privileged-Moderately Wealthy, Suburban, Good School, Nice/Safe Community...Kid??
Drugs (most-likely) Are Not gonna fuck you up, and land you in jail or dropped out because the cards are (for the most part) laid out in your favor...

But Look at our Cities guys...Are drugs (including Pot) "Mind-Expanding" When way over 50% of Students in a school don't reach graduation..Most hitting the streets to make their money dealing, get caught, land in jail and REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT! There ARE drug Wars in our cities! Kids Literally, Kids are dying and innocent people are getting Fucked-Up along the way...

Guys I Ain't no fucking preacher!

But honestly Do you Think There are Two-Entirely separate worlds to drug use...I know I've literally seen Suburban kids drive up into Camden (Ranked 3rd Most Dangerous City in America) Buy a stash and drive back to their Safe-Haven Suburbia leaving the Cities and the Children of the Cities to deal with the Real Shit...

I think that those groups might stand out when you try to classify stoners simply because they're distinct social tiers. If you did some kind of really comprehensive study I think you'd find marijuana use spread all over different economic groups. There's barely any exageration when they say everyone does it.

The DEA's annual studies since 1975 have shown that almost 90% of high school seniors have access to marijuana. The only drug with a higher percentage than that is alcohol, and that's "legal".

I go to a pretty nice Catholic school (tuition is about $9000 a year), and we're known for being the highest school in the city, and that's because we can afford it. But again, pot is everywhere, of all walks of life, and every part of town. Haven't you seen the show Weeds on showtime?

I think the fact that poor neighborhoods always get the shit of drug problems and life is because there isn't as much education, assitance for addiction, and opportunity. People use drugs universally; its just a matter of who pays the price for them.

Quote from my weathly auntie "Look at that guy. I'd give hime money, but he's probably just gonna buy beer with it."

Twenty minutes later at the nice restaurant "Dirty martini, please."

I had to google hard to find the lyrics to this song I only heard once a few years ago, so rather than just include the bolded part I was looking for I'll put a whole funny verse up. It's from Underwear Goes Inside the Pants by Lazy Boy.

We're in one of the richest countries in the world and the minimum
wage is lower now than it was thirty-five years ago. There are
homeless people everywhere, this homeless guy asked me for money,
the other day, I was about to give it to him, and I thought: he's just
gonna use it on drugs or alcohol. And then I thought: That's what I'm
gonna use it on! Why am I judging this poor bastard? People love to
judge homeless guys. Like, you give him the money and he's just
gonna waste it, he's gonna waste the money. Well he lives in a box!
What do you want him to do with it, save it up and buy a wall unit?
Take a little run to the store for a throw rug and a cd rack? He's
homeless! I walked behind this guy the other day, a homeless guy
asked him for money, he looks right at the homeless guy, he goes:
"Why don't you go out and get a job, you bum?"

People always say that to homeless guys, get a job. Like it's always
that easy. This homeless guy was wearing his underwear outside his
pants. I'm guessing his resume ain't all up to date. I'm predicting
some problems during the interview process. I'm pretty sure
McDonalds has an 'Underwear Goes Inside The Pants' policy Not that
they enforce it very strictly, but technically, i'm sure it's on the books.

I would say there are a lot more than two worlds.

People everywhere smoke pot, in all walks of life. You got rednecks growing weed out in swamps, bangers selling dimes instead of getting a job, midlevel managers at banks smoking spliffs on their way home from work. And that's just the tip. Skaters, surfers, hippies, environmentalists, frat boys, cancer patients, new agers, valedictorians, high school dropouts. Black, white, asian, it doesn't matter.

Think about this for a minute please.

If Marijuana were legal, and by legal I don't mean Government controlled cash crops, I mean like grass on my lawn legal. These kids wouldn't need to go to gangster Joe for a buzz, they wouldn't need to run the potential of having a laced sack or being around hard drugs.

The drug war has done alot for increasing the selling and price of drugs, because once you make something illegal people just don't quit. They have to obtain stuff through covert means and with it being illegal it affects supply and demand.

Marijuana growing in the wild = $0.00
    Marijuana at Gangster Joe's place = $25.00 -$100.00

Also, with harder drugs like Heroin for example, all the Drug War has done there is increase the passing of deadly diseases and decrease the ability to help those addicted.
Instead of giving the users the chance to go to a hospital where they can get clean needles, and a safe amount of Heroin so they don't overdose, or a chance to get clean. Instead they arrest them and throw them in jail or rehab then release them, in which case they'll 'most of the time' go back to using then abusing, and might run the chance of getting a disease and dieing on the street.

So long story short is that the drug war is the main contributer for most, if not all, drug problems.

government fails those kids. they could sell ganja legally and not go to jail and this system wouldnt be repeated. and they will become rich, so easy to grow and sell for $50-3000 dollars why would the government legalize it? I guess their worried about the stoner revolution
