What do you mean...you know how to do it but are asking how others do it? Well mine don't like growing together that much, but if i notice something in the back which sometimes happens, i just _rip_ them. This seems to be very hard for me though, the hairs are always very stubborn and it's HELL to get them apart.
im sry i didnt explain lol i mean i no howe to rip them but how do you rip at the scalp i cant get it to rip that far down. im jst a lil worried that they will grow at the scalp and my dreads will just be one giant dread that is growin together at the scalp and only at the scalp am i still confusing you lol
is it really matted together at the roots? Try just ripping as best you can. And if that doesn't work, you may have to use some scissors...just be very careful not to cut too much.
ooooh i wouldnt use scissors, only because you could cut your dread off. ha. i would use a nail clipper to help you rip along.
thanks guys i tried the fingernail clipper thing tonight and it work very well my scalp dont hurt anymore either its awsome lol thanks for the idea spooky!!!!
I just pull the wrong hairs out of the wrong dreadlock. Untill they are free from wrong hairs. The less hair at a time, the less it hurts.
I have the same problem. My hair only connects at the root. For a month or two, all the dreads on the back of my head were connected at the root (some still are). If I didn't take the time to rip them apart before it was too late, I might've had an even bigger mess on my hands. Lizzie~Bee and Spookytheferret gave good advice, it seems to be working so far Its gotten to where if I don't rip everyday I have a mess to deal with.
