For laid back stuff, try Royksopp.

The best dance act are Basement Jaxx.

Yeah, royksopp is good. I kinda stopped liking Benny Benassi but it might be interesting for you. Try magnolia - All in vain, or Kaskade - Here I am. There are others that I'll list later on.

Once you get a feel for house you'll get hooked, personally this is how it is for me:
    Trance>dnb>house>breaks.

Trance being the favorite and breaks being the not so favorite.

And also if you're into electro check out deadmau5, my friend met him and he's apparently a really awesome guy, so I'd recommend checking him out as well.

There's a lot of really cool progressive house which tends to be quite laid back coming from Russian and East European producers these days.

A few suggestions - Siberian Son, DJ Roomie, Snake Sedrick, Lokitas, Princess Moon, dPen, Anton Chernikov, Johan Chatkowski, Silent Brothers to name a few.

If you want something light and trancey, check out Aes Dana, esp 'Season 5'.

Here are some awesome tracks you should check out!

Spring Breeze - Martin Roth Summerstyle Remix
Be Free - Jonathan Ulysses & Peter Brown
Cry For You - September (Radio Edit)
Man With The Red Face - Mark Knight & Funkagenda
    Infinity 2008 - Klass remix

And here is a good website where can you listen to samples from new tracks that are only a few days old. http://www.trackitdown.net/genre/house/top10.html

Check out mixcloud or soundcloud for new mixes. You can search for stuff there as you start to find your vibe.
