I bought it about 3 months ago, everything worked well until I noticed some changes last week. The buttons were working but sometimes no. The next day, I wake up and none of the buttons work. However, somehow I can still open it. The way you turn it clockwise to put the volume, that works but bugs too. I'm so mad. 2 years ago, I bought a cheap mp3 and it still works. What the fuck??

I'll tell you what's wrong, it's mass produced piece of junk. Take it back. Apple sucks cow balls.

Yeah, turn the hold switch to hold, and then back to normal and then hold the menu and middle buttons for like 8 seconds. (I only know this because my damn ipod froze yesterday and I had to reset it).

If reseting it doesn't help, I'd suggest killing Steve Jobs' dog. That would teach him a lesson.

Like everyone said, just hold down the menu and center button to reset the iPod. If the problems continue, I'd suggest either sending it in to one of the several repair places on the internet, or to Apple itself (that is, if you still have it under warranty). I'm guessing it's probably the logic board or something.

All right, I tried that technique and it works. Still this is some crazy shit. I knew before buying an ipod that I was going in some stuff..

I've had my iPod for 4 or 5 years and haven't had a problem with it yet. In fact, almost everyone I know who owns an iPod has had few or no problems with them. I guess you just had the luck of the draw ;)
