My friend is racist, and I call him on it most of the time.
Not just: "you fucking idiot".
I really ask him what is behind some of his comments.
I've discussed many issues with him.
If you do this, otherwise rational people can see the light.
Sad thing is, the not so rational racists, are everywhere.

 

I believe they come from an emotional place, because emotions are oft irrational. Maybe some sort of issue to do with growing up.

In my friends case he just does not bother to think.
He has an easy answer for most things:"It's their fault".
I'm mixed race myself, he does not have a problem with me (I'm not that masochistic), but he is still racist towards certain ethnicities. Maybe some people are racist because of the reasons you suggest.
In my mates case, he is just a bloody idiot, simple as that.

 

What mixed races are you, out of curiosity? Maybe its just me, but I find that the most attractive people are of mixed ethnicities. It just works.

 

Afro Caribean on my dads side and white on my mothers side.
I'm fairly light in skin tone, infact apart from my hands and face (that are exposed to the sun more), I'm whiter that some of my white friends lol.
I'm not quite sure if "I work" lol... not for me to say.
I don't do too bad I suppose.

I guess its because Im attracted to darker races, people. I like the differences in people. For me, thats sexy.

 

Dislike is too tame.
Hate is more appropriate.
I guess you can include any race that also happens to be Muslim, Punjabi, Hindu and the all the other differing faiths in India (Indians, basicaly).
His spectrum for hate is wide.
