MJ takes a different toll on everyone, it depends on the person and who they are not only physically but more importantly mentally. That statement may sound void, but I know it is true from experience. I know people that are your typical stoners, I also know others such as professors who use MJ who display no evidence at all that they have ever smoked a joint, nevermind a few daily. Personally I will admit that I was a bit lazy before I started smoking grass, and I can see how marijuana has added to this, heck, some days I dont even feel like peeling myself out of bed, but I always manage. In addition, marijuana clears your mind sort of speak and thoughts are not always clear, I notice that If I go to work while high I will forget to do something that would normally come natural to me. Despite these few mental blunders, although I dont do it often, I can smoke before going to work and not hinder my productivity. Peace - J
I lost all motivation to do anything months before I started smoking, pot just gives me an excuse now
hehe yer waht i pondered about teh meaning of dope but personally i find my laziness only lies in my laziness to get up and do stuff, mentally ive found im much more interested in many things. Ive also noticed i get out of bed easier too but that mihgt be due simple to more sleep lol. but overall ive lost the speed at which thoughts come to me soberly. but thats good in some ways caus i dont have as many stupid random impulses as i used to, but i also dont find doing maths questinos as interesting. but thats due to my teacher this year too lol. i jsut find ive got a more mellow mind, one that jsut flows when sober. its jsut consistant, and comfortable.
Yeah, Sagacious is on the right track. The neurotransmission chemical Melatonin is blocked during Marijuana smoking, as is dopamine (which is truely why they call it dope). But, T.H.C. in the synapses breaks down over a short period (I feel like I've said that here about 4 million times by now), so really long term damage isn't possible. You'll notice that you've become absent minded when you've smoked in the past week, too. I'm not really too worried about that though. It doesn't effect intelligence, it simply effects your short-term memory and for the short term, your ability to reason, but not your intelligence. I'm one of those guys whos pretty much out of college now, and I am a guitar teacher for a living and plan on being a teacher/performer all my life, so I don't really need to be working at top form. lol It's like a guy who lays cable for a living. He's really not all that responsible for anything, so being a bit absent minded isn't really a huge problem. If he were a V.P. of a business, or an accountant, maybe not such a good idea. lol I just take the good with the bad on the Marijuana. Like I said, I don't need to be working in top form!
