It'd be cool if that were possible for all forums...like how we have sticky posts for the linked personal forums...if we had stickies for relevant/interesting links...good idea :)

gees and here all I thought you had to do when you started a thread was to scroll down and choose sticky - now I'd be careful with that because as you can see from the sticky I tried to delete (and damn I'm the moderator and can't) it stays up on top and pruning may be a problem - hmm. lets see if I can ptune it ...anyways I try to keep my profile as low as possible so that it would appear asif there is no moderator and a smooth runningforum - makes us all feel good about one another

Oldwolf, I belong to another forum that uses the same software as these new Hipforums. Whenever a moderator posts an important message, they sticky it *and* lock it. So the thread is always at the top, but nobody can post in it and distract from its topic/post spam/troll. If you put "PM the moderator with any relevant links" at the bottom of the post, people could PM you and suggest links...then you'd have the chance to check the links for relevant content before posting them on the sticky post.

You'd probably already thought of this, but I thought I'd mention it just in case :)

yah and I do understand and I just don't have the time or desire to be that involved - as moderator in this regard - if it becomes necessary for this forum to have that level of interaction with the moderator - let me peacefully bow out.
I put in about 5>10 min./day to check and try to find time to answer or interact if needed. I had other forums I was moderating that I had tio give up due to my own increased need to focus my attention on projects that insistently call to me.
I do understand that there may be some frustration at my lack of day to day, post to post involvement - and if it gets to be too much then I am hurting rather than helping and such is not my intent.
I live off the grid and either must go down to the village house - which going and coming kill nearly an hour- ; or use a slow USP the our cellular at verizon with limited time during normal interaction times (free from 9PM>6AM).
This subject (intentional coming together to form community) does have a lot of fire for me and has been active in my life for many many years - damn, I feel old to say that) and active participation throughout various cycles in my life = interest+experience > and so it kind of felt natural to give extra to help stimulate like minds toward mutual communications..... But ...
Hey you all drop by and see a work in progress and what a piece of work it is LOL

Take care and know I am loving you and there for you in spirit but by golly my concentration is focused on making it happen and that is becoming fairly all consuming .. Reaching out and feedback... ?
