The sea turtles put their tails between their legs and they swam.

most sea turtles are endangered, so why would you want to eat one?

Because I can only taste it's meat for so long before they ALL kick the bucket.

I'd love to try some tyrannosaurus rex.

this thread made me LOL for real and I don't know why. Sea turtles are gross though. They can be infested with all these tumors I guess any meat can though.

3-4 turtles*(2 lbs.) salt and pepper, accent, flour, 1 egg (beaten), 1/2 c. milk, fat for frying (enough to cover the turtles). Take the turtles, turn them upside down and peel out the meat (like you peel an orange). Clean it and cut into small pieces. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and Accent. Dip in flour, then in mixture of egg and milk, then back in flour. Deep fat fry in fat heated to 300 F until done or southern fry in gravy. *Cooter (soft shell turtle) is tender, unlike the sea turtle found in many lakes. " Has a similar taste to chicken but a lot better!"

    olympic....

...i had no idea that cooter was also a term for soft shell turtle...(i have always known it as a term for vagina)

is turtle good? there are a couple of restaurants around here that serve it...and i've always been curious as to how it tastes.

i have 2 pet softshell turtles. they are so cute.
i was once watching some "food around the world"-type show on food network, and they took a turtle that looked JUST like my Huddie, same size and everything, split him open with a knife, and threw him in a wok. I did not like to watch it.
I suppose i would taste it if i didn't have to watch him be killed like that. (i eat fish, and i have tons of pet fish) I will taste anything once.

    these are my turtles:
