Has anyone seen a film called Gingersnaps? My friend april is gonna lend it to me and she sez its really good but a real mind fuck. girls staging there own deaths and people turning into werewolves or something! If you have seen it, is it good? xxxxxxxxxx
I thought it was pretty good. It's about two sisters who are roughly the same age (16ish, IIRC) and obsessed with death. They even make a pact to commit mutual sucide if they don't get out of their hometown or something. The beginning of the film shows them staging gory death scenes and taking photographs of each other. Eventually, yes, the elder sister becomes a werewolf, and weird stuff ensues. I believe at least one sequel's been made (haven't seen it yet) and there's another on the way.
I could be totally wrong, especially because I haven't seen it, but I thought it had something to do with the girls and their menstrual cycles?? Or am I thinking about another movie (and no I'm not thinking of Carrie, I've seen that one over and over)...
They do talk about their menstrual cycle in the movie. Anyway's it's a really good movie, the second one was good.
