To make a long story short: do not cut them, and try not to mess with em too much. Many more will fall out and you can try to incorporate them but they will fall out. if you cut em then they will grow back.... then what? would you cut them again? just let the hair ddrreeaadddddddddd. in about a year or two you'll be rewarded with a fine set of ropes.

dont cut nothing dont ever backcomb again why would u tear them apart just to backcomb again? palm rollings a waste of time and can dammage dreads if overdone

leave em be for the most part just play with em mindlessly whenever ya are bored and seperate em after u wash

Short loose hairs at the nape of your neck? Like ones that never grow long? My husband had those and they were VERY curly, we shaved his head one time (shiny shiny) and I shaved those weird curly hairs too. Now they have grown back in pretty much straight.
My nape hairs just grow and grow and grow.....

tyose hairs will one day be dreads
that tiny lil point on ther very back of neck took the longest to dread but the day that that lil bit became a dread was the day i knew the natural journey had reached the mature stage

the same goes for the fuzzyness between dreads that also will one day grow out and become new dreads or be swallowed by bigger dreads

just leave yopur hair alone and it will dread..
keep in mind 1 simple rule
dreads are your natural hair state if you dont force it into unatural styles
therefore to get beautiful dreads stop trying to force it into unatural styles and just let it be what it wants to be.

dude. I would offer advice, but I don't think it's even worth the effort since you will probably be cutting very soon.....
