Orange Peel Treatment (Moisten Your Weed!)

I found this tip on these boards when I joined about a year ago, but I haven't seen it mentioned since. It's one of the most useful tips to do with smoking I've ever heard, so I figured I'd put it up here again for new smokers and anyone who hasn't heard of it before.

If you're finding your weed a bit on the dry side just grab an orange! Put a few decent pieces of orange peel (around half the peel total is enough) in with your stash for about 24 hours. Make sure it's sealed in its bag or whatever, and I've heard you shouldn't let the 2 touch or the risk of mold goes up. After it's finished your herb will be noticably more moist.

My favorite use for this method is making dry, undesirable shake into fresher, smokable weed, extending any purchases by a few pleasant bowls.

Ive just posted somthin simillar up in the growing section. Im curing my AK48 with lemmon and lime peel right now, smells fucking great!

 

i think it works best with curing it. but i tried it with a half o. a 1/4 was with a lemon peel and the other with an orange peel and left them over night in tupperware. the lemon wasn't really noticeably lemony, but had a nice moistness to them. and the orange turned out great.

 

I wish it made a noticable difference in taste. It just makes it smell orangey.
Does curing like that affect the taste?

I prefer really dry weed.

 

you actually dont need much peel to moisten dry buds.

I used about a .5cm by .5cm chunk of grapefruit peel in with about 5g and they went from dry to moist and tender overnight

 

It'll smoke alot slower if it's moist and because of that you will get more evaporation of the THC to pull into your lungs instead of it burning off at really high tempuratures... thats why vaporizers are so nice...

 

I still prefer dry weed.

I love mold too.

 

fruity mold is the greatest... it like smoking acid.. make me trippy..

 

personally i'll dry the shit out of my weed.. after i get some.. the dryer the higher they always say.. and seems to hold some truths.. sometimes i'll rehydrate bud.. but not usually

 

takes to much fuel to burn wet weed....
I let mine dry out...
I want to be smoking not drying the shit when I take a bong hit...

 

If you have to do this don't use oranges, use lettuce. It will mess with the smell of the herb less... better yet, use a moist cotton ball...

Prob. better to just leave the buds alone... unless you're smoking brick or something...
