Here's something to make when you're shucking alot of clams and the recipe doesn't call for the juice. Get out a big pitcher and pour in 2 cups V8 and 1 cup clam juice. Stir in 2 packed tablespoons prepared horseradish, 10 dashes of tabasco sauce, 5 dashes Worcestershire sauce, and 1/4 teaspoon celery seeds. This is enough for 4 big Bloody Marys. Make them with vodka or make them with gin, but don't forget the essential garnishes: a big piece of lime and a big piece of lemon squeezed into each drink. A celery stick makes the perfect stirrer. Adding another flavor such as garlic, cumin, or cilantro (coriander) creates an interesting complexity. Adding a crown of dry sherry or red wine can turn this into a real winter warmer. http://www.bluecoatgin.com http://www.junipergreen.org http://www.vodka360.com http://www.reykavodka.com http://www.organicwinecompany.com
You can also try Clamato, which is tasty. I use all the stuff you use, plus black pepper and lime juice. Mmm....
This cocktail is called "Caesar" baby!! :-D I am SO glad you know this drink. That totally is the recipe, both the original post and the Clamato version. But I guess the Clamato one is more common... One of my fav drinks.
