I think that custom servers on WoW are technically against that long as agreement that you have to agree to every major update. I had a friend who got his custom server shut down the day after he started it. The only reason people do private realms is so they can have GM gear. I don't want to be anything like a GM. On regular servers they always give you all that RP shit when you send in a tick. I haven't played WoW for about a year. Don't have the time to grind and do quests and all that. I want to start playing again just because I'm one bar from 40. The quests once you get to a decent level are really tedious. The drop rates really need to be worked on if they haven't been since the last time I played.
jesus you havent played in a long time then. The experience needed to get to 20-50 has been shortened and the experience from quests 50-60 has been increased. I played pre BC and made a character 2 months ago and got him up to 70. The big differences i noticed were no grinding whatsoever, they made all the quests much easier (took out a bunch of elite mobs etc). So basically you cant outquest yourself anymore and drop rates never were that bad. Either you skipped the quest or you werent killing the right mob in the right place.
http://thottbot.com/q339 This was the quest that made me not want to buy more time. When I mentioned grinding I meant for certain quests I needed drops from. I played for a while once and finished a quest that made me 3 levels in total. Plus having no friends on the server I play on (They all stopped playing) makes it hard for me to solo. Soloing as a shadow priest can be done but if I take more than 2 mobs on at a time I'm screwed.
