This if for all of you that are past high school. Was it really that important that you graduate high school. Should I really kick it in the ass and do this shit instead of being the normal slacker I am ?
Hi! I quit school at 16,ran wild & travelled with my hippie friends, had a grand time! My life was very unstructured, lived day to day;it was easy in the 60s & 70s "to get by with a little help from your friends".Well...some years later, friends married,we all went our separate ways..reality set in...damn! I actually had to get a job! I waited tables 'forevah',the money is great when you're young with perky tits.Good service doesn't mean squat when there's a roomful of sweet young things refilling that ice tea glass. That made me really think about my life! I got my GED at 35 years of age! Started college that semester.I've stopped & started so many times,it's tough going back. I'm going for my LPN,I'll be retired by the time I get out of school,HA! Maybe this will help you or at least give you a laugh!
Well in the UK dropping out isn't technically an option (legally have to attend till the summer after you're 16) Even so I wouldn't have quit, being an intellectual* I aspire a decent intresting job#, to get that I need qualifications, to get those I have to study in school/college/uni. It's a bitch at times, but I couldn't/wouldn't have it any other way. At least not without endangering my sanity. Still intellectual pursuits are not for everyone. My brother (not for the want of trying) will never achieve great things at school. So he's doing a more practical work placement. Only you can truly know what you want and need in life. Follow your heart but be prepared for a rough ride and lousy money. Good luck and blessings *Or at least I delude myself and my associates into thinking so. # Writing in some form or another, so not really that conventional.
if you wanna get it done with and out of the way...just do what u can to barely pass. that's what i did. i did a lot of slacking off and did just enough to graduate.
I agree, just a little bit of effort needed (a few months, and they fly) consider it an investment for the future. That's what I did Got the results to get into college, and kept my sanity. So everyone wins, my folks weren't too impressed (but who cares, it's not their life) Tried that trick in the first year of college too, similar results but not quite as successful. Ah well I've learnt from it.
