Just say you're gay. It goes against their law. So if you ever get drafted you know what to say if they supposed to uphold their law. Then when you get out just say you're not gay no more for some reason. lol. Or you could still say you're gay, but just not the homosexual gay. Yeah, go with gay as in just happy. Think this would work with that dont ask, dont tell law they have? If it does, dont thank me, you can thank gays with a wink for making it possible to have a way out.
Actually that's true.Any person can say it if they choose to opt out of the military.A sidenote:It would be nice if they had a draft only for Americas wealthiest citizens.Let's see how that would play out, in a country, the US that is now and has been for a number of years run by and for the rich.
Take WW2,whether a person was rich,in the middle, poor, famous( Jimmy Stewart flew combat missions) etc.,they served in the US armed forces.----Nowadays that certainly is not the case. When I said draft the rich,I was kind of being sarcastic, because it would never happen, but at the same time shows how things have changed.--------CEOs kids, politicians kids etc. no longer serve in the US military. As for a monetary figure 1 million dollars still means one is quite wealthy in the US.lol.And as naive as this sounds(but it is true),if the wealthy were required to serve, the US would have never gotten involved in Iraq or other BS actions around the world.
Odon,it would certainly 'limit US involvement if politicians and multimillionaires children were required to serve. And when I say serve I don't mean preferential treatment.----- Hardly any US politicians have children in the military.Bush and Cheney certainly did not serve in the military etc. I mean the whole thing is a joke.
It is a tough one. There are too many variables to consider IMO. I'm not sure how much of a break it would put on these types of issues, to be honest. The scenario is pretty unprecedented. Quite easy to postulate though, I guess. Based on all rich people don't have back bones, seek power and money. Would anybody actually put this through to legislation? Doubtful. Not even a pacifistic presidency would ever put this idea forward.
