Wow wouldn't it be great if the US government would allow some research so we wouldn't have to rely on unverifyable information and personal opinions/experiences! I should add that i did not begin smoking until i was 18 years old. That fact might explain why i have been the exception to the "rules."
well its nice to think that. but thc prevents the dreaming state. of course, we always end up dreaming in the morning. in fact, because dreams are prevented early in the sleep, they can often try to make up for it by being more intense by the time morning comes around. these morning dreams are usually the only ones we remember anyway. I would like you to suggest how you believe it has helped your sleep cycle? Ive heard so many people say that pot gives them better sleep. Ive tested and observed the complete opposite always. So what have you experienced that leads you to believe that the sleep you get from cannabis is better? We must remember that the offshoot is that we get more of other sleep, perhaps deep sleep, or perhaps another type of sleep (there may be stoned versions of both rem and deep sleep). This might make our bodies feel more rested, indeed they are. But sleep is not just about rest. in fact it is far fro mthat. Our brains are constantly active, and a lot of maintenance work goes on in your brain at night time. All rest and nothing else is NOT a good sleep cycle imo
indeed... As many personal friends here know some interuptions Ive encountered as of a few months now... GF problem, overburden myself and preoccupied in many things, this forum included. even now im smoking less, and packing up the lamps and shit after this grow.. A wise man knows which way the wind blows... Id rather not have a storm.. Thanks BILL. :cheers2:
I've always had sleep problems (mostly insomnia) since as long as I can remember.. and I know when I smoke a couple bowls before bed, I'm not up tossing/turning, or having a ton of thoughts going through my head like what usually happens when I try to fall asleep. Pot has always been like a remedy for all that, and I can fall asleep right away if I smoke. But you are right, Bill. There is more to sleep than just resting, and I haven't really thought about that until now. But are you saying that smoking before bed stops your brain from the maintenance it does while you are asleep? P.S. Sorry about so many questions lmao. I'm just curious!
Yes thats why I started smoking a lot - it sure helps getting to sleep peacefully and happilly so that we associate bed with pleasant feelings. But once we are asleep we usually go into REM sleep for a short period and then the cycle begins. But If you smoke, you put your body straight into deep sleep and it takes longer for the cycle to pick up. if youre only sleeping 6 hours a night then this is very significant, if youre sleeping 10 then a bit less significant. but then id be worrying why you are getting so much sleep
