All of my friends hate living in missouri. I don't get it. I love this state more than anything. We have Meramec Caverns, Round Springs, Johnson Shut Inn's, Lake of the Ozarks, and a hell of a lot of other Parks. We also have St. Louis, which is one of few places people eat toasted ravioli and where people eat provel on their pizza. Also where Gooey Butter Cake was invented. I don't know why my friends hate it so much.

Do you guys hate Missouri with as much a passion they do?

Actually, all of them have lived out of the state or gone on vacation out of the state for more than a month. It makes me sad they hate it here because I know that I'm always going to live here. Hell, if I get the chance I will buy my rents house. That is if I can afford it.

I like Missouri. I lived there for a few months while I was working in the state. I explored what remained of the tiny town of "Speed" and found some blank checks from the 1920's in a old garage. There was also an ICBM missle silo not far away.

Good place to hunt for arrowheads. Cheap real estate too.

Downsides are a high population, pollution, and long hot summers with lots of humidity. St. Louis sprawls outward like Los Angeles does and has just about as much smog too.

the people who never leave are the ones who are 15 and want to buy their parents' house because they love their hometown so much. :)
(not trying to diss you hunny... just making an observation. if you love your hometown, more power to you!)

the ones who leave and come back are the ones who bitch and moan but are too lazy to give up all the "comforts of home."

if you like things the way they are and you want your life to be EXACTLY the same 50 years from now as it is today, then stay in your hometown.

if you want something different in your life, quit bitchin' and moaning, get off your ass, and go somewhere else.

    that's my philosophy.

    Kansas City > STL

Killa City for life. 816 till I die, never leaving these streets, and if I do it ain't gonna be for long. I'm gonna haunt this town in the afterlife.

I spent my whole life hating New Jersey until a couple months ago. Now that I actually go to Philly and NY and the beach, I feel like Jersey is the greatest because it's in the middle of all that jazz.

You should find some fun stuff for you and your friends to do.. day trips to go on.. show them that Missouri isn't lame, they are just making it lame by not having fun and finding things to do. :D

I'm curious about St. Louis and Kansas City. That area over there.

One day I'll pass by on my way to the other coast.

I haven't even seen Detroit and Chicago and shit.

I don't leave New York much.
