but I have heard that it can cause liver and kidney failure and make you lose your hair for good. I also heard from Dr. Grey ( men are from mars and women are from venus) say that soy can give you gas ( don't want any farts that I can't hold in haha hehe). So what would be your suggestions for a person who would like to be vegetarian, not for diet purposes but because they love animals.
The kidney failure and lose hair only happens if you don't get your vitamins. What's kidney failure compaired to heart failure? And there are many other ways to get protein. For more info on both, look here: http://hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31841 good luck on becoming a vegetarian, it's nice to know we'll have another member to our little comunity.
those things can happen from a diet that includes meat consumption. its about eating a healthy, balanced diet with a a collection opf vitamins and minerals.
Erm yeah, never heard of those theories, certainly don't know of any evidence to prove them. If anything being an omni is far more unhealthy. Advice, in short check out http://www.tryveg.com/cfi/toc/ Says everything I would (and more) laid out nicely with pictures and... soy gives u gas? that's a new one... maybe he thought that because it's a bean... but definetely not in a processed form, like in milk or cheese. anyways, my farts smell like fruit ever since i became vegan and i'm damn proud to let one off in public, it's like i'm purifying the air!
Ain't it grand I have one hand 'Tis all I'll ever have This single hand My arm fell off I've got no teeth 'Cuz I'm a vegan You are what you eat
