No, this isn't a hard-hitting post, so don't expect it. On the news this morning - Obama was speaking in Germany. Then they switched to McCain in Ohio - who felt it necessary to have some German food while Obama was speaking in Germany.... and his point with this is?? It just struck me as an incredibly stupid 'tie in'. I don't know whether to blame the news, or McCains PR guy.
Blame the PR Guy. Actually McCain should have been a slamdunk, but watching his campaign they are making so many mistakes that just seem to exaggerate his flaws. But then so again is Obama's. It's hard to know which one they actually want us to elect. This should have been an exciting election, but once it again it seems like a choice of the lesser of two evils.
Yup, I do blame the PR guy. Who the hell thought THAT was a good idea (the PR guy!!)? Talk about transparent efforts! And the American public is supposed to eat this up, how? lol (no pun intended - really) It was a pathetic move IMHO. I agree, I thought the other night while watching the John Stewart show (clip of McCain 'speaking'), they must be trying to make him look bad on purpose....as it seems there's just no other excuse.
That's why I posted about it. I can't talk politics like the rest of you, but I know funny when I see it!
Anyone can talk politics. It's easy. First, decide if you're on the Left or the Right. If you're not sure, it may help to ask your parents. If you're a Lefty, start watching CNN and/or MSNBC. If you're on the Right, start watching FOX. Now just repeat whatever you hear them say, and voila!, you're talking politics.
Why a slamdunk? After eight years of a disasterous Republican presidency the Democrats deserve a landslide victory and a national sweep.
This is the same formula we always use. Get tired of one party, vote in the other. I don't suppose it occurs to anyone that the engine behind our nation has two cylinders? If one goes up, one goes down. How long do we have to suffer through a two party system? This is the lowest form of democracy. We need more variety, because what we have in place is putting people to sleep politically. That is against the principles of a sound democracy. People need to be informed to vote with any authority. They only get a one sided view here in the land of the free. This results in an exploitation of the will of the people. A private agenda now hides behind "the people". It does things in our good name that we would never do on an individual level. We should never endorse this kind of behavior from our own government. A vote for any of the candidates, McCain included, is just that. Vote for "none of the above". Write it in. Let them choke on what to do about it. x
*lmao* You just cracked me up. Only problem with that advice is it'll get your arse reamed (reference sources) but then, even having ones own oppinion in here can end up in a good arse reaming as well. So let's throw caution to the wind and just piss off EVERYONE! w00t!! arty:
If these are pictures of you, you look a bit like the mid-20th century movie star, Elizabeth Scott. Ever hear of her? Check her out on Google.
I really think I might do that this year with the choice we have. Thought I might vote for Nader like I have twice before, but even his campaign doesn't seem legit this time around. What was that Richard Pryor movie where he got elected running as None of the Above?
Nader was in Houston either yesterday or the day before. If I were to vote, and I won't, I would vote for him. Not because I believe in his idea of governing everything but because he is an honest man (politician???) . Very rare, very rare.
