As it happens with most of the sexual matters, it is only up to you to make a decision for yourself. Obviously, you are trying to make an educated decision at that. If you have sex with random guys, it is pretty safe to assume that they, too get involved with other guys, who in turn, mess around with other dudes. Having unprotected sex with one guy practically amounts to having unprotected sex with all the dude he has been messing in an unprotected fashion in a while. I would not even vaguely consider this to be an option. Having sex with a completely trustworthy buddy, who has committed himself to being monogamous is altogether a very different issue which boils down to the amount of trust (no pun intended) you put into him. Last but not least, you may want to consider the consequences of your sexual behavior. We all want to have some fun in our daily lives and sure, we do. While everyone has to make their own decision, and any transfer of body fluids between people, whether semen, nose-droppings or saliva can have potential results I have never sucked other than a bare condom the last 50 years. My understanding is that if you have no mouth ulcers or other raw cuts in your mouth and swallow then your stomach acid will kill any bacteria. But as said there is always a risk, I consider it much less than being fucked without a condom unless you are on PrEP as I am.
