I watched this French fil last night called the Life Of Jesus which was a pretty disturbing film. It's a bout this chap who hangs about with all his unemployed friends, driving their little motorbikes around North France. After a while they rape a girl and then he kills an Arab kid who chatted up his ex.
I definitely agree with A Clockwork Orange... I watched that whole movie with my jaw hitting the floor.
Sober movies: Gummo..... fucked up!!! Happiness Momento Blue Velvet Zardoz (a must see, let me know what ya think)
Zardoz rules!!! Lets all go to the second attention, i had one of the craziest dreams about that. Oh yeah somebody said Fight Club shit i saw that 8 times at the theaters, 4 times in the first 3 days.
The Matrix. It just made me feel weird after I saw it and made me think "what's real and what isn't?" You just never know.
donnie darko - being my all time favorite movie.... the butterfly effect and any of M. Night Shyamalan's movies
I love psychological thrillers, but didn't really know what they were and didn't watch movies much until I was in my 20's. When I was a teen, that stupid Chucky on Child's Play messed me up for a while. I know people that have the doll and I still can't stand to look at it!
i dont really get whether you mean movies which freak you out or movies which make you think, or just confuse you. but i guess the original ring (japanese) a clockwork orange waking life eraserhead trainspotting (at times) pi requiem for a dream brazil fear and loathing (kinda, mainly the narration) the butterfly effect tetsuo animal farm 1984 one flew over the cuckoos nest catch 22 also anything from korea. in particular any of the revenge trilogy: sympathy for mr.vengeance oldboy lady vengeance the MOST mind rapey film ive seen recently was a korean movie called "i'm a cyborg but that's okay" i'd reccomend it
