Good tattoo artist in southern california/england?

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone here knew of a talented tattoo artist either in southern california (where I live now) or in england (where I'll be living in a month or so). I have some ideas about tattoos I want to get, but I want to find an artist who can interpret my crazy ideas. I've been told to stay away from Venice Beach, but I don't know many tattooed people, so my hear-say is limited.

Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East. A bit far from London

 

You should go to Brighton, it's about a 50min train ride away from London on the south coast. There, go to Angelic Hell on North Road. Stewart, Ilona and Mantas are all awesome.

 

There's a great place in Birmingham called modern body art but they have a 6 month waiting list, also a bit far from London.

 

Oi mate, I grew up in North London and moved to California. Now I know the East end of London is (mostly) not the best part. Everyone asks me y the fuck i moved to Cali, but I MUST ask you - WHY THE FUCK MOVE TO THE EAST END?
and what do u think of that good old town?
