Since this music is kind of cross-genre, I thought I'd post it here as well as in the electronic/experimental forum. I really want all the feedback I can get (It's my own music.) as long as any criticism is constructive and explains what it is you think it lacks or should be different. You can just listen or you can watch them in the videos of them I put together which would probably be more entertaining. :hat: just click link circlovegroove

you definitely have the right idea with the multi-layering of different sounds, and youve got some pretty nice catchy melodies, but some of the effects themselves sound a little computerized/fake. you should download some effects banks to get some better sounds. also, your syncing of instruments sounds a little off at some points. overall i think your on your way to making some pretty sweet chill music to trip out to. i would maybe add some clean drum beats to the equation, after some buildup and layering. sometimes the beat usually ties the whole song together at the end for me. good luck mate, post some more when you got it

Thanx! Yeah, I'm only using a cheap writing program..(melody assistant) so it is quite a bit on the canned side. I'll be getting a better one pretty soon. What are effects blanks? I'm not very hip on the technicalities yet. Oh, btw, "redcircle" and "groovecookie" are both me. I had some problems getting a new password so I re-registered until I could get a new pass word. Now I have it so I will be "groovecookie" again from now on.

my mistake, i meant patches. i myself am a newbie so im still learning terminology (im attempting to learn cakewalk sonar 7). patches are collections of sound effects/instruments that you plug into whatever program your using.

Oh. hmm I'm not sure if my program does plug ins or not. It probably does. Where's a good place to get them? I've never looked for that kind of plug in before.
