    i think it's pretty important to know that when it's over, it's over. knowing why would help me move on and also know if there's something i can do to prevent problems in future relationships... it would be especially nerve-wrecking if i thought everything was going really well and the other person just broke up with me without saying why or what happened.

    Of course, after a while even if there wasn't any talk or explanation, i would get over it... i mean, you can't dwell on it forever, but there'd be a period of anxiety i'm sure... depending on how long i was with the person.

    How long has it been since they broke up, and how long were they together? I'm sure after a while he'll get over it.
