i had a really intense flashback today. I was driving on a 4 lane highway when it happened, I looked down at my spedometer and when my eyes went back up to look at the road, a void opened up and all i could see was shiny brown and neutral waves for a few seconds, luckily it was pretty short but kinda freaky nonetheless, anyone else had flashbacks?
Only flashbacks I have had: 1) On the toilet, saw the rug moving 2) Playing xbox at a friends, his ceiling looked like it was moving
If those are considered flashbacks, I experience them daily. I usually have at least one perceptional alteration throughout the day. I also have my own personalized television, great when your bored. I notice my "floaters" all the time now and they even change shapes and patterns. Also when I just focus on any one point for some time I usually will start tripping on it but when my concentration is broken it slows and stops. So those are some of my usual "flashbacks" EDIT: I totally forgot but weed intensifies it every time. Usually when I get high I get light visuals nothing real intense unless I get severely stoned.
I experience them daily pretty much, and although they are sometimes dramatic, they are always very short lived, under 2 seconds.
I experience "flashbacks" everyday. Not really a big deal, its just something I have learned to except and even enjoy. As previously stated, MJ increases the amount/intensity of "flashbacks."
You goddamn people. Flashbacks DO NOT exist. What you're seeing is a combination of placebo, less-than-perfect eyesight and normal distortions. HPPD? Fuck yeah it happens, albeit rarely. But you will know when you have it.
"Flashbacks" always have been a touchy subject here. I never really call them flashbacks because that's not the feel I get from them. They're just perceptual alterations. HPPD, is a whole different subject though...
HPPD? maybe i do have it...but flashbacks i have to say are real. in the span of time when i was doing a lot of cid and shrooms and rolls, maybe twice a week i would be lying in my bed at night and the cieling would turn into a rainbow strobe light and my blanket had giant moving tentacles. i have no other explanation for that
No, you don't. If you did, you wouldn't question it. De-personalization (similar to ego loss without drugs) feels like nothing else. It's completely debilitating. HPPD. Look up the symptoms and causes. Number one cause is binging on hallucinogens. Number one symptom is visual distortions. And it doesn't last forever. You goddamn kids keep fooling yourself into thinking you have HPPD like it's cool or something. You exaggerate your floaters until you really believe you have visuals all the time. It's hypochondria, and it's not healthy.
I was definitely not trying to imply that I have HPPD. I know I don't that's why I didn't even want to go into it because it truly is a whole different subject than the "flashbacks" or whatever the hell this topic is. This happens every time someone brings up flashbacks in a post.
