I don't think I have, what is it? But I have heard this phenomenal album that was like Bob Dylan and The Band... son of a bitch. Amazing album, and I think it had multiple volumes too.
well, it's a movie of the concert with the band and many many guest stars (young, starr, muddy waters, joni mitchell, ferlinghetti....), directed by martin scorsese... it's amazing, i really enjoyed it and the music is great...!
I played a show last night and while we were setting up and tearing down the soundman had a band greatest hits cd on... it was great my whole band was singing while we set up.. King Harvest if my favorite...
The Last Waltz is a great movie. I love The Band/Emmylou Harris collaboration on "Evangeline". Gotta love that song.

Old post, but last week I went to see The Levon Helm Band, and holy Goddess, it was amazing. Best show ever, easily. I am still floating from seeing them. Oh yeah, and I love The Band. They are my favorite...band. I generally listen to a lot of folky, singer-songwriters and less groups. The Band though.. how I love them.
