:D Have you ever had someone start out hating you dreads( or dreads in general) then once you started the process or hung with them awhile now they really like them? Or they really like yours and are always messing with them? My husband hates dreads but loves mine and will wash them and palmroll them for me. He also has fav dreads and has commented on which ones he thinks are really cool or/are forming really cool. I think thats really awesome an really want to know if anyone else has these experiences.
    peace love and happiness:rolleyes:

    That is pretty sweet :)

I had a similar situation, but not quite. My dreads are only 2 months now, and they "sort of look like dreads", though they are lacking length. Had a couple of my cousins looking at them saying: "those don't look nice" my family being from Kuwait, they have not really seen dreads before. So I showed them a pic or two of mature dreads, and told them that's how they'll be one day, their reply: "wow, so cylindrical and so dope. Dude, keep at it, I take my words back".

I can think of nobody who likes my dreads. But then again, I live alone and don't see friends... so.... wow, I guess I'm a loser.

I see my mother about every other week but my head is always covered. She never mentions my hair so I don't know how she feels about it. She advised against it in the beginning, but we never speak of it these days.

Anyway, if I had friends, I think they would like them. My hair's changed a lot from when the old pics were taken in my gallery. I hope they continue to grow stronger.

My husband was also on the skeptical side. It's been two months and they are really starting to mat and look dready, and he has commented a couple times. It's nice to see his paradigm shift.

haha some of my friends were like "ewww don't get dreadlocks, i hate them" when I told them I was going to dread, but now they've told me that they like my hair.
And it's cool how different friends have a different "favorite dread"
I think they may also realize how i've changed as a person in some ways since beginning the process, and that only adds to the positive attutude towards dreads, i think.

Sadly, not yet.... I am creeping up on the 3 month mark, and boy are they looking messy! LOL I have maybe 5 that are actually knotty but most of my hair has found it's "places" meaning that it has separated itself into locks but not knotty locks yet, just kinda twisted (man it's harder to put into words than I thought!)

Totally understand what you are trying to say :cheers2: correct me if I'm wrong though, but most you hair has found it way into sections but is in the locking process, aside from the 5 that are really natty?
