I know the common denominator on "good dates" have been
    1. doing something she likes
    2. having natural conversation

the first is easy, the second is only hard because I am so completely socially retarded.

BUT these factors only make a good date, how can I
    A. guarantee the second factor (natural conversation)
    and
    B. push past good into fantastic

I know I will get goofy answers, but interspersed I hope for some good ones

    thanks.

Fun. I just like having fun. Bring on the fun and romance will surely follow.

I think serious dates are reserved for anniversaries, proposals, birthdays, etc. And you know what? Conservation can't be forced - it should always be natural.

my best (first/early) dates have always been great due to the connection with the other person - lots of communiation, similar ideas or good debates/discussions, general awesoem conversation

I don't even know what that means.

Does he want to put the moves on her without looking like a dumbass and misread her signals?

The date isn't about putting the moves on someone - I mean it shouldn't be the focus. If you have to set everything up to lead up to that... then... that's not even dating. That's just lame.

Yeah, now I really want to go on a date and have fun. I haven't been on a date in quite a few months. >_<

yeah, i'm sure he'd rather do his thing without looking like a dumbass...

all i was really saying is that it takes more than fun to provoke romance...
