It was pretty good. I only took one hit, but my tolerance to everything I have ever done is super low so i took it easy with this. I had a great time though, with awesome visuals, and jamming with my friend was really fun too. by the end i was a little sick of it and just wanted it to end, so im not sure if i will be doing it again any time soon. anyways, im having trouble remembering some of the things i "discovered" while tripping. Is there any way to help remember those things now? And also, if I do it the second time will I not trip as hard? Because i feel like I was on a whole other planet for like 8 hours. Thanks guys.
Its a bit hard to remember things that you thought on LSD because the revelations occured in the first place in part due to the absence of many of the thought processes occuring when sober. They say various forms of meditation can acheive LSD like states, and this is believable insofar as meditation can calm parts of the mind and turn off those thought processes that get in the way of revelatory conclusions
ya know bill you are just the coolest motherfucker. every time i see a post from you i just wish, damn i wish i was friends with him.(not sarcasm) just thought id let you know man
to the OP; it's really good that you feel like this after your first L trip. AKA, you want to actually learn something from it rather than gettin fucked up! oh and to answer your questions; just keep thinking back upon the experience and you might remember more. if you choose to trip again just keep that in mind (that you want to remember) but just go with the flow too... if you trip again you may not trip as hard (some people myself included think their 1st trip is one the best) don't trip too often (i know you said you won't) and maybe take two next time (or don't) to stonerbill and fans; i feel the same way and on a side note i just dragged up a thread from years ago in which i helped teach stonerbill about shotguns and tech nines...my proudest moment yet
I find it impossible to remember things from early in the trip. But thats because you're thinking and being branches out into a million different states and places. Next time if you do though, bring a notepad and write, if you can, or draw, that helps me remember some things. Or just talk with people and some might remember?
I find that a good strong joint of skunk in the following days>up to a weeklong period, with the music you listened to during the trip opens the mind and gives an insight into the experience, and definitely helps unravel the 'puzzling factors' (especially if you drop enough tabs and you get caught up in the trip or stuck in a temporary moment of blagness - and looking back on it with a rational mind in the following weeks and figuring those temporary dillema's out). I've been finding recently that I'll start piecing together the outcomes of a trip as soon as I peak, 12 or so hours in. The key is staying awake! And not to get tired of tripping and wish it would end.. or trying to get sleep for whatever reason after the first stages (initial wowness and rapid pace at which the mind and visuals are racing) of the trip - but before the entire trip has actually ended (where the trip slackens off, enters a new realm where introspection, auditory hallucinations and much less head fucking but altogether stunning visuals occur in the masses). Also, people should read Albert Hofmann's 'LSD My Problem Child'. People are commenting they can't remember parts of the trip, but taken responsibly and handled with care, there's no reason why the entire trip can't be entirely processed - and that's the first step toward using it as a tool for development in many aspects of life. I find it's heavily about making connections and moving forward.
thanks for all the insight guys. my email notifications stopped for some reason so i figured everyone just ignored this post. Im up at school now and my roommate has been dying to try it, so were picking up some this coming weekend (L and shrooms) from a good friend who will be going to a festival. he says he always gets from the same guy at these festivals and he will be there too, so no worries. i think were gonna split an eighth of some apparently really good shrooms and probably get 6 gels of L. So 1 each the first time, and 2 each for another time ( assuming we both have a good time ).
I never have a problem remembering my trips. Of course the way I remember is not the same as when i was high but I do remember experiences and what I learned through them. I don't remember every little thing that happened during a trip but I remembered key points, important parts, really trippy events and lessons learned. What you remember or how good your memory is whether it be when you're sober or when you're tripping depends on how conscious and in the moment you are when events take place. So if you are uneasy, nervous or distracted from being in the now you will have difficulty remembering what actually took place. The first few times anyone takes LSD can be overwhelming and I don't remember a thing for my first few trips. I don't think this is anything to worry about and I'm sure that if you decide to continue your experimentation your memory recall will improve. Meditation and yoga while sober or tripping will help you with being conscious and in the moment. "Be here now" -- ram Dass
