ok so I have always wanted to grow but could never decide where to start.. i have done some research but am still close to clueless about growing.. :hat: while researching, i have come across a lot of information that will be useful when i start growing but i need to know how to get started im hoping that once i get things started off i can then explore for more techniques and information. but for now i have a few questions..

    1. how much space am i going to need to grow a successful plant? (providing enough buds for 2 people) i really just want to grow so i dont have to buy anymore.. me and my smoking partner (my friend) smoke about 2-4 times a day usually ending up at 1-3 G's a day.. so how big or how many plants would i need to satisfy that?

    2. if i started growing today (8/4) about when would i be able to start smoking my plant?

and the final question.. is growing WORTH IT?

please any help will be GREATLY appreciated :cheers2:

yes sometimes, it is.. But its alot of learning about the plants enviroment too.. basically if you have soil/Ie,. grow medium. a good timer and a decent lamp.. your going to have sucess no matter what your real skills are as ling as you have patients.
3x3x6 if you intend to grow more... A standard closet space will be fine.

a few plants can yeild enough to maintain that jones but a constant rotation will be needed to keep it on hand full time.. One room vegi.. one room flower..
I dont keep scales but buds in Oz size full plants/ clones close enough to assume.. Lots of grass and not be worried about it..

ill answer in reverse as its easier.

    2) seed to curing will take about 3-5 moths depending on strain and veg time. (week to sprout, 3 weeks veg minimum-or till plant is about 12-16 inches, and 2-3 months flower time, plus a week to dry and trim)

1b) assuming 2g a day (quite a bit), you would need to have enough every harvest to last you till next harvest. If you have seperate veg and flower rooms, this gap will be 2-3 months.

    3mos * 30 days * 2g = 180g per harvest.

In order to grow that much indoors, you would be looking at 4-9 female plants depending on strain and how well you care for them. (i average 20-30g per plant, but experience will increase your harvest)

    1a) assuming you are indoors, each plant will likely need a 1 X 1 X 5 foot area. for 8 plants, you would want roughly a 3 X 3 or 4X4 area and a 600w HPS bulb

glad to help. Ive got some indoor experience with HPS flowering and cfl veging on crops of up to 6 healthy plants at a time.

PS: practise will make perfect (or improved at least). my first plant didnt survive the first 2 weeks flowering because i flooded the soil before a weekend. since then ive experienced light burns, nutrient burns, spider mites, white flys, and more. however, i have adapted as required and every crop has been bigger and better. (esp. with the latest sativa crop and the current hybrid i created, which is showing some impressive phenos

growing is all about experiance. 2 diffrent people can grow the same strand and have totally different results. It all depends on the conditions in which you grow. Every time I start a new crop, I learn a little something new and I am always reading about new techniques and learn to apply them to my own situation. The best advice I can give a grower new or old id to read all you can on the subject. The best line of defence is a god offence so if you know what could happen and what to do if it does happen, you will be a step ahead of the game.
