I have been to Amsterdam a few years back...and i now feel comfy enough with the town to go the cup, solo...um..is that ok for a female to do, ya think? i feel good about the decision..how bad can it be when everyone is stoned..but what your thoughts? I am planning on booking my tickets for november in the next week or 2..and wow..there are so many hotels/apartment style places to choose from, or would you guys suggest a hostel...any good/safe ones you can think of? i want to kinda stay in the middle of it all...without hopping on the back of the train(for free) and getting misplaced cause i am too stoned to remember to get off also, is anyone looking to go to the cup but wants to save money..it seems that 2 or more folks going, really saves money...any ideas/suggestions/ if that is a good idea or i dunno..all i do know is I am going...and i would love to meet up with some other folks that are attending! so what is the major differance of when the cup is going on verses NOT? is it crazy full, lines everywhere or does it cost an arm and leg to get into places? due to the cup, are the prices raised just cause they can? it wont snow in november will it? staying at the pig...downtown..see you all there!! cant wait!! ishamarie

theres TONS of stuff you MUST check out. there's so many threads here about all of it. a little note about the weather...it never (read: rarely) ever snows in NL. It can get cold and rainy in January/Feb, but the coldest it will get is in the 40s, and prob rain every day at that time. In Oct-Nov-Dec, it can get cold, but it doesn't rain as much and it's nice to walk around (and it's a great walking city). peep out some threads on here to find the MUST do's and even some don'ts. most of all, enjoy. it will be one of the life changing experiences GUARANTEED!
I live in Ft. Myers, FL and I usally go in Feb. just for a change in weather. So used to being in an oven all year. Last time I was there it SNOWED every night, which was real nice for the last walk of the day back to the hotel. Nothing prettier than snow falling when you are baked outta your mind!!! It never does really stick just falls. However I awoke to snow on the roofs of the buildings around me on a couple of mornings. (Abba Hotel). I usually just wore jeans, tee-shirt, hooded sweat jacket under my leather jacket and I was plenty warm.
Is it true the weed price is higher than normal during cup week? Do the quality tend to suffer after the cup?
