Many gods of different cultures are specific to that culture. But Underworld gods, Rain gods, Sun gods, etc are the same gods. How many suns are there? How many unseen reality can seen reality have? How many does it take to gather the dead? How many oceans are there? See where I am going?
I see, my gods/ goddesses didnt really overlap. Except for Athena and Neith but I said one or the other. I think I rather like that they are similiar or the same because it releases some of the stress from not dedicating to all of them from every pantheon. But I do like the different culture aspect. And seeing as my screenname has been Pharoah I am drawn to Egypt but I really hate the desert and city ~ I am more of an ocean person. I really have no idea where my ancestry is but my family is from the Azores islands and I have to assume they came from different places before that. (there isnt a written history of the islands) So Greek, Finnish, African, Roman, and Celtic are prob all in there at some point. Not to mention all those past lives and such I did have a sign from Mithra the other day, I wrestled a small bull by complete accident. This was after watching the Mithraic mysteries at the Planetarium. The next day I went to a Portuguese parade and got charged by this little bull. Everyone had to pull him off me and it didnt really hurt but It made me think alot about Mithra, a Deity I new little of before. (He is pictured killing a Bull) But there has been more signs including Mithra since and before then. It's a trip. You give me lots to think about!
It was pretty funny. I was opening my umbrella on a float and the little guy charged, broke my umbrella and freaked me out!
Well Pharoah, the world IS a mirror and WILL give us symbolic messages. Noticing them and understanding the meaning is fine, ... just not to dwell upon it and get obsessive about it. - Thats just a headfuck and a waste of time. Let each moment pass.
