I suggest you read a wonderful book, " The True Believer " by Eric Hoffer.

Your freedoms will not be taken away by a tyrant, you will instead give them away willingly.
You will give them away when you need to make a living and you need to compromise your freedoms to feed your children.
You will give them away when there's something else you want more.
You will give them away in a trade for more security and safety for yourself.
And, you will give them away when you join some group or movement which promises you meaning larger than yourself.

WE are the 'tyrannts' creating incentives for a hierarcy of tyranny, it IS our own blind persuit of nongratifying symbols that is leaving tyranny an open field that there is no surprise it is taking every advantage of.

to turn THAT around is where 100% effectiveness resides. killing and dying only makes people dead. not free. not as long as they INDENTURE THEMSELVES. indenture themselves to illusions of personal gain while letting the kind of world they have to live in go to hell in hand basket.

so how can people NOT expect to have one that IS doing so as long as they do THAT?

you want freedom? DON'T indenture yourself to credit.

what does the profits on credit support? more tyranny.
why? because little green pieces of paper want to be social with each other, with no concern for real places, things, other then their own symbolism, nor living organisms, including our own human selves.

(and we WILL have true freedom AND peace AND a world that is gratifying for ALL of us to live in, once we STOP buying into having to impress each other. we will have this most great peace, and we will have it in at most a very few hundred years, and could have it within a very few decades or even years, when enough people really do simply wake up from this being conned and stop buying into it. any yes, people have been killed and imprissoned for saying that and trying to get people to see it. because it is a threat to the whole economics house of cards. which we don't NEED either. we do need certain forms of physical infrastructure for people to survive at current population levels. but something is going to give there one way or another. and population surpassing resources cannot no precipitate something happining there. but for those infrastructure, transportation, communication and energy, we DON'T need any of our current ways and assumptions of going about it. all that though, the main thing, the really main thing that is driving all this tyranny, brutality, danger and loss of freedom, is the market created by putting trying to impress each other ahead of the kind of world EVERYONE has to live in.)

i usually have a problem with hypothetical situations. unless it's happened to me, i have a hard time guessing how i would react.

in this case, i think it depends on how it goes down. i might just move if that would solve the problem for me. i sure as hell wouldn't go giving my life for a cause. not that i'm unwilling to fight for my own freedom; i'm just not willing to die for other people's freedom. most people spend their lives trying to hurt each other for their own benefit, so why the hell should i bother killing myself to help them. but like i said, i would be willing to fight if i thought i would get through it to a better life for myself...

basically, i figure i only have one life, so i want to spend it however is the most pleasurable for me, as long as i don't infringe on other people's rights. so no senseless dying for me; i'd rather live a decent life that's not entirely free than be dead, but i'd rather be free if it's realistically doable.
