SWIM is wondering, if there is any risk if buying N2O Online. i.e. would feds be able to investigate a person, based only on buying a relatively large amount of N2O online? (hypothetically lets say, 25 box's of 24 cartridges (that's 1 case) a week for 5 weeks) To be clear -- SWIM is only buying it for personal use (SWIM really likes whipped cream!), and would not sell it -- so the only "line" leading to SWIM is the internet purchase, and subsequent FedEx shipping, of the product. first of all -- does anyone have and expereince or knowledge as to what would be an amount that definitely not draw attention, by being bought by an individual. Also would it even be legal for the feds to investigate, purely on the basis, of "SWIM seems to be buying more chargers, that one could feasibly use just for making whipped cream"
This is an extremely common myth. (particularly on these forums it seems) Indeed there are dangers associated with N2O use, but all of the acute dangers, have to do, with HOW it is used, and not with the N2O itself. N2O does NOT kill brain cells. Lack of oxygen kills brain cells.** Also Butane/duster/gas/zippo fluid/markers -- pretty much any other inhalant you can think of, kills brain cells, and should be avoided. N2O, is unique in this way, as the only easily accessible inhalant, that does NOT kill brain cells. As mentioned above: There are dangers associated with it's use, but all of the acute dangers, have to do, with HOW it is used, and not with the N2O itself. N2O Dangers include * Oxygen deprivation (never do it in a situation where if you pass out, you wont be breathing fresh air (i.e. No releasing tanks in small area, or putting plastic bags over your head(i.e. don't be stupid))) * Frost bite (NEVER huff straight from a tank or canister, always huff from a balloon, or whipped cream dispenser (i.e. don't be stupid)) * Loss of motor control (don't do a drug that is used for anesthesia, while standing, or in any position where loss of consciousness puts you in danger (i.e. don't be stupid)) * Vitamin B12 interference (If you do TONS of it (like 100's a day for MONTHS) and don't take B12 supplements, you can suffer severe B12 deficiency -- see case reports below for what can happen - but keep in mind, that these people were doing thousands of dollars worth a month for many months (and if they had taken B12 supplements from the start, this might not have even happened to them) * Folic acid interference (this as I understand it is a result of B12 deficiency, and not directly caused by the N2O, you can read more details at the below link.) * Nausea (SWIM has never, nor anyone who SWIM knows, had this problem -- but to be clear -- in case you didn't realize this on your own, if it does make you nauseous at all, (if you for some reason still wanted to do it) you should probably not do it, without a sober baby sitter -- if you did pass out, and vomit you could asphyxiate (i.e. this falls under the already mentioned rule of thumb -- never be in a situation, where if you pass out, you would not be breathing fresh air, or any other danger)) http://www.justsayn2o.com/nitrous.dangers.html More about B12 deficiency. http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/archive/index.php/t-54176.html And more info http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/nitrous/nitrous.shtml Lastly, there is some evidence that N2O might kill a negligible amount of brain cells -- a night of drinking alcohol, will kill many more though. And the Alcohol is physically, and mentally addictive, and bad for your liver, and your body in many other ways. You decide which is worse. **To be clear -- as long as you use common sense -- (i.e. no bag over your head, and not releasing tank in small closed space (meaning that you will be breathing fresh air if you pass out)) -- you are at very little risk of damage from hypoxia (lack of oxygen) -- precisely because N2O is an anesthetic, you will likely pass out from the dissociative effects of N2O, before you would pass out from (or suffer damage from) hypoxia -- and once you are passed out (from the dissociative effects of N2O), your body takes over and, provided your heads not in a bag, you will start breathing fresh air. Think about it this way -- SWIM can hold his breath for 60 seconds -- this just makes SWIM out of breath -- it would probably take at least another 30 seconds before SWIM passed out -- no real signs of hypoxia at 60 seconds, no darkening/bluing of nail beds or lips, and only mildly raised heart rate. YMMV If SWIM inhaled nothing but 100% N2O for 60 seconds straight, SWIM would be WAY to high, to continue to huff the N2O, and therefore, would be sitting/laying there, breathing fresh air -- with less than 60 seconds without oxygen. (assuming, SWIM is not stupid, and does not have bag over head, or in a small closed space) -- Im not saying that is a smart way to do N2O (or the funnest, etc.) -- I'm just saying, that is about all that is physically possible (without being stupid, and putting a bag on your head) -- it is an anesthetic (albeit a mild one) -- essentially meaning it puts you to sleep -- and it does this so quick, that you never go long without oxygen. Generally, if SWIM is trying to get as high as possible (which is only about 10% of the times SWIM does N2O) SWIM just breaths a few breaths of room air for every one hit of 100% N2O. Doing it this way, it takes maybe 2 or 3 minutes -- but eventually, even then, SWIM ends up in such a deep dissociative trance, SWIM forgets SWIM is doing the N2O -- and thus SWIM is sitting there breathing fresh air.
As a random little side note -- SWIM thinks it is a bad Idea to breath in and out of a balloon. If you really want to recycle it, only second hand is worth it -- after that's, its to weak to work. SWIM uses Volcano Vaporizer Easy Valve bags. Take a hit from balloon, then blow into the volcano bag -- its easier than a balloon cause your not working against the elastic, and you don't have to hold it shut -- you can do about 4-5 hits of pure from balloon, and blow the second into the volcano bag for each, before the volcano bag is full. Then you can switch to hitting the volcano bag, which makes for a nice extended mellow comedown. If you do this, and then hit the second hand bag, while sober -- you can tell, its only about 50% or less -- it becomes very apparent that a third hand bag would be more trouble than its worth. It you just breath in and out of a balloon, you get 100% the first time, and then you are just slowly diluting what is in the balloon -- and frankly, it's not as pleasurable, and lastly, you get less oxygen, than the method SWIM suggests. But enough of derailing my own thread -- back to the original question!!
food for thought...a catering company can legitimately purchase tanks from gas supply companies. nuff said.
SWIM would of course love a tank! But, SWIM doesn't think SWIM has the balls to set up a front, or try to convince a real catering owner, to help SWIM out for a fee. I mean, look at SWIM -- SWIM is even slightly paranoid about ordering cases of chargers online over and over.
this makes co2.. higher risk of suffication.. inhalations should be taken and than exhaled to the side.. also weakens the diaphragm muscles and convulsing to rebreath after passing out wil be extremly hard and will be more difficult if your diaphragm is tired from huffing.. Humans have a the ability to come back to life but not if you keep killing yourself with gas.. its why you wake up.. You do know your a bit dead you go to far on this and other gasses.. The bodies electricial CNS is really interupted on Gas, Creator intended us to breath the air/gas in the enviorment/ atmosphere not to stick our nose in to many places it dont belong.. get enough money together and go to industrial gas and welding supply dealers, talk to someone, money talks.. dockers dont care and lose tanks all the time, its just a tank of gas.. when duster is available and the industry knows this.. why would they give a shit over some nitrous? Dispencing gas to others is illegal. Just as selling a tank off the docks is.. but its still done.. this is true.., Many other uses for this gas though. electricity conduit coolant in many high voltage underground grids and transfers..
no your not gonna get in any truoble "SWIM" did it last week but his sister and girlfriend made way too much whipped cream with them...
well ive bought a case of whippets, (isp) i believe... it was very simple to do online, and i dont even remember signing for it when it was delivered.
yes, but i would be cautious about any gas not labeled food or medical grade. nitrous intended for industrial use is very often not pure and contains a percentage of other gasses that would be harmful to breathe.
