No. Cigs are wayyy worse. Not just because you smoke them more but because they have more chemicals and shit in them. People don't process weed and put other chemicals on it, its useually just weed that was grown and dried. Cigs also kill the cellia in your lungs, those are the little things that get the tar and gunk out of your lungs.

Cigs are bad. Weed is good.

 

ciggs are way worse. i dont even like smoking them cause they're complete shit for me and serve no purpose where weed actually gets me high. only smoke em when im drunk or tripping usually.

Although it is true that there is more tar in weed than in cigarettes. But there has been no link to lung/throat/mouth cancer with weed. However, it certainly is not healthy to smoke it regardless. It's not healthy to smoke anything. I hate it when people try and convince me that smoking weed is good for you. Sure, it may prevent cancer, but that doesn't mean it's not extremely harmful to the lungs and throat. But definitely much "healthier" than smoking cigarettes. I hate cigarettes, but I smoke them. Trying to quit... not going too well

meh.... cigs are worse, when u count in all the other factors besides tar amounts, but what ever. i dont get why so many stoners on here dont smoke cigs though. i know like 2 stoners who dont smoke cigs.

 

if i'm smoking bud i always light up a cig. Its kinda good in a way cause thats the only time i smoke cigs, and i don't smoke daily.

 

Yeah, cigs can also be good if you need to make sure you don't smell like weed or the place your smoking doesn't smell like weed. See, cigarettes have their benefits too!

 

weed doesn't prevent cancer. if anything it causes it. just because there have been no conclusive links between pot smoking and cancer doesn't mean it doesn't exist. they use weed to treat cancer only because it increases appetite for people on chemotherapy. so they don't use weed to treat cancer, they use it to treat "non-hungriness."

i am just as big o pothead as the next guy, but marijuana contains carcinogens. fact.

i still think cigs are worse (although i have some bias-i smoke weed not cigs) who smokes a pack or two of joints a day? but i guess that only has to do with the amount smoked, not the product itself.

 

I meant may in the strictest sense of the word. As in, there has been some research that marijuana kills cancer causing cells, but it is still inconclusive. May = possibly in this context. Although, I can see how that could've been misinterpreted.

 

actually the lancet (prestigious british health magazine) concluded that it can prevent the growth of aging cells, which cause cancer, in the lungs, brain and neck, while leaving the healthy cells alone. if it caused cancer people would die from it, and no one ever dies from it, therefore no one gets cancer from it.

 

well since many people who smoke weed also smoke cigs, wouldn't it be pretty hard to tell if they got cancer from cigs or weed?

Well, supposedly the studies were done on people who only smoked weed. But I'm not saying it's healthy by any means. But it's definitely better for you than cigarettes.

 

not the way you smoke it maybe. but in moderation, once a week, one or two hits of dank. there would be no negitive health effects.
