So I have a pair of small deer antlers I'd like to mount into some sort of hat or crown so they could be worn on my head. I've had a hard time finding a way of mounting them that holds their weight however. I've seen antler helments at festivals and powwows and I'm really itching to have one myself. Any ideas? even if it's wacky I don't care just please help.
I'm not really sure what you're trying to make...I think there would be a million different ways to attach antlers to your head. How are your sewing skills...what materials do you have available...and are you looking for more of a hat, helmet, headband? I've worked with fur and bones, although I've never attempted to mount antlers to a hat, maybe I could help.
